This year the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Writers Festival invited writers to imagine themselves as part of a larger whole via our theme “Beneath One Sky” and explore themes of how each of us adds light, meaning and connection with each other and the world around us.

We were looking for creative, thought-provoking stories that explored this theme, whether through the lens of a personal journey, an environmental perspective or a powerful human connection.

We received 45 excellent story submissions. Congratulations to winners M. N. Cox and Soda Bantung.
